Field Research Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Research Assistant to support ongoing research and data collection efforts across various projects. This role involves on-site data gathering, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely research outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting field research, including site visits, surveys, and interviews
- Collect, record, and manage qualitative and quantitative data following established protocols
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry, validation, and documentation
- Prepare field notes, reports, and summaries of research findings
- Collaborate with researchers, analysts, and stakeholders to support project goals
- Monitor and maintain equipment and materials used during fieldwork
- Follow all ethical and safety standards during field operations
Requirements
- Educational background in environmental science, social sciences, engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience in field data collection or research assistance is a plus
- Strong organizational and observational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to field locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in working with GIS tools or field research technology
- Familiarity with survey design and data analysis software
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish is an advantage
