Retail Sales Assistant
We are seeking a customer-focused and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our in-store team. This role involves delivering exceptional service, supporting day-to-day store operations, and contributing to an engaging and efficient shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable and friendly service throughout their shopping journey
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, promotions, and stock availability
- Maintain attractive visual merchandising and ensure shelves are well-stocked, clean, and organized
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and process returns or exchanges in line with store policy
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and support inventory counts when required
- Stay updated on product knowledge and promotional campaigns to confidently guide customer decisions
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and welcoming store environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members and support store managers in achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Follow company procedures, including health and safety, loss prevention, and data privacy protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar fast-paced sales environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and proactive approach
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and familiarity with handling transactions and POS systems
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak periods such as sales events
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for creating outstanding in-store experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a branded retail store or international environment
- Knowledge of current trends in fashion, electronics, or consumer goods (depending on store type)
- Multilingual skills are a plus, particularly in English and Swedish
