Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing activities, negotiate supplier agreements, and ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to meet operational needs while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service criteria.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand requirements and align sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and assess trends affecting supply availability and pricing.
- Manage procurement documentation, supplier databases, and contract records.
- Track and report key procurement metrics, providing insights for process improvements.
- Support risk management activities by identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Ensure all procurement activities meet legal, ethical, and sustainability standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a procurement specialist, buyer, or similar role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, market analysis, and cost reduction strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP or procurement software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international suppliers and cross-border transactions.
- Familiarity with sustainable sourcing and supplier compliance programs.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS or equivalent.
