3D CAD Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D CAD Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing complex 3D models and technical drawings to support product development and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, mechanical engineering, and production to ensure high-quality, innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX)
  • Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable components
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to support mechanical design and product development
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, tolerances, and specifications
  • Maintain organized CAD documentation and revision control
  • Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders
  • Support prototyping, testing, and production processes with relevant design data
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing CAD models for design efficiency and manufacturability

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in 3D CAD modeling and drafting within a product development environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems
  • Background in automotive, aerospace, or industrial design is a plus
  • Familiarity with FEA tools and design for manufacturing
