We are seeking a skilled and proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery, equipment, and systems through scheduled inspections and maintenance activities. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and improving operational reliability while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to established plans.
- Inspect, test, and monitor equipment performance to detect early signs of wear or malfunction.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production disruption.
- Recommend and implement improvements to preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability when required.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Provide technical support and training to operators on proper equipment use and basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and standard hand and power tools.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
