System Administrator
We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The role involves managing and maintaining a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment to support business operations and end-users across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications
- Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, patching, and user access controls
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and other critical IT services
- Support virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Collaborate with IT support, network, and development teams on projects and upgrades
- Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, and procedures
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux systems, and network protocols
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms
- Experience with backup solutions, monitoring tools, and endpoint management systems
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices and compliance standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional, AWS/Azure certifications)
- Experience in ITIL-based environments
