EnglishJobs collects and processes the following Personal Data when you visit our website:(i). Information about how you use our website; and(ii) technical data such as your IP address or other unique data that can identify the device you are using, as well as operating system, browser type and general geographic location data.
EnglishJobs collects and processes your name and email address if you sign up for our newsletter or create an alert for a particular service.
If you choose to create a user account on our website, we ask you to provide your name, email address and telephone number. If you create a user account as a representative of a company, we also ask you to provide the name of the company you represent.
If you choose to submit an application for an advertised position on our website, a user account will be created automatically if you do not already have one. We ask you to provide your name, email address and telephone number. In connection with a published job advertisement, the recruiting company has set up a number of questions that you are asked to answer in order to apply for the advertised position. Depending on the information you provide in your answers, we may, for example, process information about your work experience and your personal preferences and views. You always choose what information you choose to provide about yourself and we respect your choice not to answer one or more questions. If you answer the questions and choose to submit your application, EnglishJobs will process the information you have provided in your answers. The application will also be sent directly to the company responsible for the recruitment. For the information provided in specific applications, the respective employer is the data controller for its handling of your personal data.
EnglishJobs also collects personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you contact us, for example by email, such as name, email address, telephone number and other information about yourself that you provide.
Why do we process your personal data?
EnglishJobs processes your personal data for the following purposes:(i). to ensure the technical functioning of our website;(ii) to analyze how you use our website and thus be able to improve and develop the website;(iii) to provide the services you request in accordance with our general terms and conditions – for example, to enable the publication of job advertisements for employers and to enable job seekers to submit applications for published job advertisements;(iv) to send you newsletters or other communications that you have requested;(v). to send out news updates about services that may be of interest to you if you have previously submitted an application for an advertised service;(vi) to market EnglishJobs and our partners’ job advertisements;(vii). to be able to respond to questions you have asked us; and(viii). to comply with legal requirements.

EnglishJobs processes your personal data on the following legal grounds.
Legitimate interest
The legal basis for our processing of your Personal Data such as technical data and IP address when you browse our website is that the processing is necessary for EnglishJobs ‘s legitimate interest in ensuring the technical functioning of the website and to develop and improve our website. When you apply for an advertised service, EnglishJobs will process your personal data to send you news updates about other services you may be interested in. Such processing is done because it is necessary for EnglishJobs legitimate interest in marketing our service. Agreement
In order for you as a job seeker to be able to create a user account with us or submit an application for a vacant position, you must accept our general terms and conditions. The same applies to company representatives who create a company account on behalf of an employer. In order for EnglishJobs to be able to fulfill its obligations under our general terms and conditions and provide you with the service you have requested, it is necessary for us to process your Personal Data.
Consent
EnglishJobs’s processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent when you sign up for our newsletter or request to receive updates regarding a particular service. You can withdraw your consent to such processing at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter or mailing or by contacting us.
You will never be required to provide any sensitive personal data, such as personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning your sex life or sexual orientation.

EnglishJobs may process your personal data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. The legal basis for such processing is that it is necessary for EnglishJobs to comply with legal requirements to which we are subject.
How long do we store your personal data?
Your personal data will only be stored for as long as there is a need to store it to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected in accordance with this privacy policy.
Any personal data you provide to create a user account with EnglishJobs will be stored for as long as you choose to use EnglishJobs. If you choose to terminate your account, EnglishJobs will delete or de-identify all personal data associated with the account. If you have been inactive and have not used EnglishJobs or your user account for two years, EnglishJobs will automatically delete your account.
A submitted job application is processed by EnglishJobs until the recruiting company has completed the relevant recruitment process. However, the recruiting company, as the data controller for the Personal Data processed in the application, may process the application for a longer period in accordance with the recruiting company’s own privacy policy.
Who do we disclose your personal data to?
EnglishJobs will not sell or lend your Personal Data to third parties. However, EnglishJobs may share your Personal Data with such partners that we engage in order to provide our services to you. Such partners may have access to your Personal Data when they perform services for us in order to fulfill the purposes of processing your Personal Data in accordance with point 3 above, but they may never use your Personal Data for any other purpose.
If you submit an application for a vacant position, the application, including your personal data, will be transferred to the recruiting employer and their possible partners and suppliers.
EnglishJobs will not transfer your Personal Data to any country outside the EU/EEA.
Personal data may be disclosed by EnglishJobs if required by law or regulatory requirements or if it is necessary for us to be able to safeguard our legal interests or to detect or prevent fraud or other security problems.
The protection of your personal data
You should always feel safe when you provide us with your Personal Data. EnglishJobs has therefore taken the necessary security measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration and deletion. To ensure that Personal Data is processed in a secure and confidential manner, EnglishJobs uses data networks that are protected against intrusion with, among other things, firewalls and password protection according to industry standards. EnglishJobs security procedures are constantly updated in line with technological developments.
Your rights
Access, changes and additionsYou always have the right to know what Personal Data we process about you and to have access to this Personal Data. This means that you can request a so-called register extract of the processing we carry out regarding your Personal Data. You also have the right to receive a copy of the Personal Data that is processed. In addition, you can always ask us to change or update your Personal Data.

You also have the right to data portability.
