Payment Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payment Operations Manager to oversee and optimize end-to-end payment processes. In this role, you will ensure the smooth execution of financial transactions, maintain operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvements across payment systems and workflows.
About the Role
As a Payment Operations Manager, you will take ownership of payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will work closely with finance, technology, compliance, and external partners to manage payment flows, resolve issues, and enhance operational performance. This role requires a balance of analytical thinking, process management, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily payment operations, including processing, reconciliation, and settlement activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of domestic and international payments.
- Monitor payment systems and workflows to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external banking partners to maintain seamless payment processing.
- Oversee reconciliation processes and investigate discrepancies.
- Implement and improve controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Analyze payment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Support the implementation of new payment methods, systems, and technologies.
- Manage relationships with payment service providers and financial institutions.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payment operations, financial services, or banking operations.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, transaction flows, and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with international payment methods and standards (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT).
- Experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms, or payment gateways.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to payments and financial operations.
