External Communications Advisor
We are looking for an experienced and strategic External Communications Advisor to strengthen our corporate communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing external communication strategies that enhance our brand reputation, build trust with key stakeholders, and support business objectives across international markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement external communications plans aligned with company goals and global initiatives
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, media pitches, and coordinating interviews
- Act as a spokesperson and key contact for media inquiries when needed
- Support executive visibility through speeches, op-eds, and thought leadership content
- Collaborate closely with marketing, public affairs, and internal communications teams to ensure consistency in messaging
- Identify reputational risks and support issues management and crisis communication efforts
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment; analyze and report on communications performance metrics
- Contribute to the development of digital content for websites, newsletters, and social media platforms
Requirements
- Proven experience in external or corporate communications, media relations, or public relations
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content
- Experience working with journalists, newsrooms, and communications agencies
- Sound judgment and ability to manage sensitive and high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of digital communication tools and media monitoring platforms
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multinational or matrix organization
- Background in journalism, public affairs, or strategic communication
- Ability to develop communication strategies for diverse international audiences
