Sustainability Consultant

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Sustainability Consultant to help drive our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. The role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainable development, climate strategy, and corporate responsibility, with experience supporting organizations in embedding sustainability into their operations and business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Advise internal teams and clients on sustainability strategies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Support the development and implementation of climate action plans, carbon footprint assessments, and science-based targets
  • Conduct ESG performance analyses and materiality assessments across a range of sectors
  • Prepare sustainability reports in alignment with GRI, CDP, TCFD, CSRD, and other relevant standards and frameworks
  • Lead stakeholder engagement processes and facilitate sustainability workshops
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into procurement, product development, operations, and supply chains
  • Monitor and analyze sustainability legislation, EU taxonomy regulations, and emerging ESG trends
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve environmental and social impact
  • Assist in preparing bids and proposals for sustainability-related consulting projects
  • Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the sustainability team

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sustainability consulting, ESG advisory, or corporate responsibility roles
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, TCFD, SBTi, CSRD)
  • Familiarity with carbon accounting tools and methodologies (GHG Protocol, LCA, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to present complex sustainability concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international or EU-based ESG regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of sustainable finance, green certifications, and climate risk analysis
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISSP, GRI, LEED, BREEAM, or similar)
